Human beings are complex.

Your neighbors are complex.

They are not caricatures. They are not stereotypes. They are not tropes. They are not simple. They cannot be labeled. They don& #39;t fit into the box.

They are not talking points. They are not to be used as power plays.
They have multiple opinions and convictions; sometimes holding, seemingly, incongruent ones. Maybe even confusing ones.

They may vote one way -- like you.

Or another way -- not like you.

They probably agree with you on a ton. They may disagree with you on something.
They are difficult -- like you

They do not want to be tagged -- like you.

They are not to be feared. They have experienced suffering. They have experienced joys. They are not machines; they are bodies and souls.

They desire to be know & be known, love & be loved.

Like you.
But those people -- the ones you don& #39;t love. The ones that are complicated and nuanced -- like yourself. The ones you& #39;re annoyed with; and the ones who are annoyed *by you.*

They are human beings, image-bearers of God.

And they are *not* the enemy.
