Idk I think it& #39;s fair for nonacademics to think "erotic" means sex. Like people aren& #39;t dumb just because they& #39;re not thinking about the ~lesser known~ usages of "erotic", they just don& #39;t know and it& #39;s OK. Also who cares omg. I found that thread dense af.
Reason like a million why I should probably leave academia and why I don& #39;t really get a lot of queer theory, possibly.
Like sorry I& #39;m sure the academic who wrote it is brilliant but I just wasn& #39;t inspired by it or found it interesting at all.
But honestly it& #39;s kinda remarkable seeing people react to others assuming sex is involved. Like why did you think anybody on twitter dot com would be able to discern erotic from erotic???
