This is why I phrased it in my "abolish grocery stores" thread as "walk me through getting justice for rape victims" & not "who do you call" etc. I& #39;d already seen this play out a bazillion times, & knew what the "who to call" answer was.
So I specifically asked about _justice_. https://twitter.com/webdevMason/status/1308096038486511616">https://twitter.com/webdevMas...

This thread went quasi-viral (for me, anyway) and I never got a hint of a peek of an answer. One brave low-follower-count offered to write an essay in response, but it just kinda proved my point that there& #39;s nothing out there you can point to on this. https://twitter.com/jonst0kes/status/1305165382710427652">https://twitter.com/jonst0kes...
It is wild to me that there is no answer from the "Abolish Police" crowd to the question of what justice for rape victims looks like in a post-police world. None. Of all the accounts on this website with that slogan as their handle, not one took this question up.
This guy& #39;s response to my thread are fantastic. Not a one of them addresses my question about justice in any detail. It& #39;s the same dynamic I described in the "abolish grocery stores" thread. Amazing. https://twitter.com/daveanthony/status/1308145652321320960">https://twitter.com/daveantho...
What if the rapist isn& #39;t interested in participating in this vaguely-gestured-at "transformative justice" procedure? How do you plan to make him show up for the sessions?
