6”2 with an athletic build, Cajuste has great physical tools, allowing him to cover ground box to box with relative ease and serve as the driving force from a deeper lying midfield area. He shows outstanding ability to carry the ball and drive into open space to relieve pressure.
His body shape receiving the ball can be overly narrow at times, but his exceptional awareness, constant scanning + composure, paired with strong technical ability in tight spaces allows him to comfortably turn out of pressure. Strong desire to get on the ball and dictate tempo.
At 21, his calming presence on the ball and willingness to get on it in tough situations is impressive.
Tidy in possession, ability to play more progressive passes, but doesn’t possess the most expansive passing range. Understands what’s needed from him in FCM’s midfield pivot.

High level agility + balance, able to evade pressure with quick body feints + manipulate the ball with a certain smooth nature. Unique for a player of his size who primarily operates in a deeper role. Invaluable to have midfield players with the ability to commit defenders.
