Hi there. Can we normalize getting rid of things you don’t like/want/need/use regardless of who got it for you? I keep a lot of stuff under my bed or in closets for stupid reasons, but probably the dumbest is “because aunt so and so gave it to me”.

That sounds harsh so let me rephrase: I like and use most things made for me and I LOVE getting personalized gifts. But when I’m OUT OF ROOM and your homemade trinket is never used or looked at, I don’t think I should have to feel guilty about letting it go.
This wasn’t supposed to be a rant but here I am on the third tweet in this thread- my point is this: purging should not make me feel like I’m a murderer of love or memories, so I’d like for guiltless cleaning to be a popular thing. Thanks.
