Victoria didn’t get to 7880 active cases on August 11 by accident. This table, with thanks to @migga, shows what happened with contact tracing in Victoria & NSW from the first day each state had 10+ locally acquired cases in its second wave. #springst
Crucially, DHHS still isn’t providing a daily breakdown of each of the day’s cases, even though we’re down to case numbers in the 30s & 40s (& 20s today). This becomes even more important as we reopen. https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/politics/coronavirus-different-strokes-paint-different-portraits/news-story/c78ed9519a98efb118f26117ba411b31">https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/po...
13 of yesterday’s 42 new cases were “under investigation” in the DHHS press release. 10 of the previous day’s cases were reclassified due to duplication. We’ve belatedly discovered more than 100 extra deaths due to a “reconciliation” of figures. It’s just not good enough.
