2013 - 2019. Failed out of UCT. Did music semi-professionally, stopped because of a creative block & being unhappy with my music. Started a sound degree, failed the first semester. Parents sent me to therapy, was in a messed up place. Played video games to cope. 0 motivation.
2019-2020. Landed first shitty job as a cold caller at a real estate company. Everyday was even worse. Lowest place mentally. Was learning skills without even knowing it. Fast-tracked to a promotion. Left company. Applied for an international position @ huge company. Landed it.
Skills I didn& #39;t know I was learning from creative pursuits & a shit corporate job were extremely transferable and I& #39;m now one of the top employees in my project at my new company. L& #39;s & W& #39;s both build with momentum - trust the process but make sure to fight for small W& #39;s
Perspective. Are you phoning 150 people a day for your job just to get through the day? Or are you learning to build relationships with potential leads and maintaining them by representing a company thru brand awareness? Anyone& #39;s CV can sound as killer as you need it to be.
