Can& #39;t believe that for most of my life I thought it was normal to take 1 hour or more to warm up to any basic task hahahaha
Er for all the people asking: "this isnt normal?" - this is called executive dysfunction (task initiation) especially when we& #39;re talking about having to work up motivation to do tasks like eat, sleep, go to the toilet etc, but for ADHD, basically anything that bores us
For me a one hour warm up to do basic tasks is often watching YouTube or other videos, playing games etc anything that helps me build up a reserve of "interest/motivation" to do other tasks
(case in point: using my phone in the shower because I can& #39;t get started otherwise)

I& #39;ve done this basically my whole life in order to get things done. I& #39;ve always known I needed to drive my baseline level of stimulation up to do things without meds and it& #39;s one way I& #39;ve survived this long without missing a deadline (my autistic brain also can& #39;t deal with that)
