provoke & goad them into pressurising owner to lower price of land. Owner panics, especially if it& #39;s a distress sale, gives in to avoid hassles or further delays. It& #39;s only the diligent land agent here who saved the day for her, by reassuring potential buyer to stand his ground.

This usually happens only where their union presence is strong & unfortunately many pockets are still their stronghold. It& #39;s come a long way from my family& #39;s first experience in the late 90s, when my father went up against local union during unloading of a packers & movers& #39; van.

Their ultimatum of "this is our area, only we have right to this work/contract" or asking "nokku kooli" (extortion) forces people to hire, with no other way than conceding to demands. Or else.
In short, communism=fascism.
That& #39;s why I have such ingrained hatred for this ideology.
