If you& #39;ve not seen the story, there& #39;s a suggestion that the person in question was about to be outed in their deceit and, if that& #39;s true, it makes this apology more a matter of damage control than remorse of any kind. That would rather fit with the tone in which she appears to
apologise and yet attempts to remain the moral authority.

what jumps out a mile in threads about this from people who knew her is that she continually put other (ie. actual) POC down for, in her view, not adequately sharing or expressing her espoused values concerning racism and inequality. I guess that& #39;s the level of arrogance one
you need to later produce an apology quite like that. You read it and feel she& #39;s actually said, "Everyone ELSE needs to do better!" which we do, but this is clearly not the person to convey that message!
