Just a quick observation into Daisuke& #39;s character: he has such a specific response to Haru& #39;s emotional outbursts; partially like he& #39;s observing, partially like he sort of welcomes the invasion of space that always seems to happen when Haru gets upset.
(Thread+)
I don& #39;t just mean that in a shippy sense (but also not denying it lol) but Haru has grabbed his collar at LEAST twice (probably off camera after ep 1 also), and in a more extreme invasion of space, DROVE HIS CAR through Daisuke& #39;s front gates. And what did Daisuke do EVERY TIME?
He accepted it. When physically grabbed, he went still and allowed Haru to yell at him. When Haru broke onto his property, he (even in his anger) allowed Haru to explain why he was there, AND ended up telling Haru the truth about his goals.
Even a more postive intance of Haru encroaching on Daisuke& #39;s physical space has the same effect. I& #39;m talking about basically all of ep 4 lol.

He lets Haru pat his shoulder, he wears what Haru gives him, he eats and drinks everything Haru tells him to. He& #39;s almost helpless https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ„ș" title="Pleading face" aria-label="Emoji: Pleading face">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ€Č" title="HĂ€nde nach oben gegeneinander" aria-label="Emoji: HĂ€nde nach oben gegeneinander">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❀" title="Rotes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Rotes Herz">
Knowing that Daisuke& #39;s gone through a horrible trauma, and knowing that it& #39;s affected his ability to express, and even understand emotions, it might be easy to say that he responds this way to everyone. But we KNOW in canon, that Haru& #39;s the only person Daisuke is interested in.
We know this from the way Daisuke follows Haru around in early eps, tricks him into going to Hong Kong, gives Haru literally everything he asks for in ep 3 (https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ„ș" title="Pleading face" aria-label="Emoji: Pleading face">) and OH lets not for get the implication of the intro monologue about how Daisuke& #39;s life was boring UNTIL he met Haru.
Let& #39;s also not forget Daisuke doing things like picking Haru up from the station, attempting to give him dinner, letting him into his house to see the command room- and meet Suzue, telling Haru the truth about Imura... and then add "having him help find Daisuke& #39;s father" to that.
So I& #39;d like to hear it from Daisuke but I think in his mind he& #39;s already let Haru in, in SO many ways. And when Haru has an outburst, I think Daisuke trusts Haru, and is aware that generally Haru& #39;s responses are all valid... he doesn& #39;t ever resist Haru (except to close a door).
What I& #39;m getting at is that in Daisuke& #39;s mind, Haru is already his friend, or at least someone he is drawn to, and wants to keep in his life. Earlier episodes showed him warming up to Haru, at his own pace, but now that his mother& #39;s case has opened back up, he& #39;s lost some warmth.
And rightly so! This is his past. And he has clearly thrown his entire purpose into finding the truth, to the point that he& #39;s been losing a bit of humanity. (See: all of eps 6-8) It& #39;s almost like he went back to his pre-Haru self. But Haru is still there. Still trying to help.
And when Haru inevitably (and understandably) has his outburst, Daisuke reacts the same way.
He knows Haru& #39;s upset for a reason. He even looks GUILTY.
He doesn& #39;t fight back, because it& #39;s HARU, and he always lets Haru in.
Finally, there are a few factors that weaken this last argument (Very different contexts), but I do want to point out that one other person has invaded Daisuke& #39;s space and that went VERY differently.
Just want to point out the differences https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😇" title="LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit Heiligenschein" aria-label="Emoji: LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit Heiligenschein"> #daiharu #harudai #fkbu #DaisukeKambe
I wanted to add one more thing to make it a bit clearer- does Daisuke actually treat Haru the way most friends treat each other? Has he told Haru that he sees him this way? NO! Does he thank Haru for anything? No! Daisuke lacks the communication skills and emotional
intelligence needed to actually tell Haru any of this. I do think Haru senses it on some level, being the recipient of all Daisuke& #39;s subtly friendly actions, and I think its why he& #39;s been trying to have an actual conversation with Daisuke for a few episodes now. But yeah,
Daisuke& #39;s not the best at friendship yet, which is a little heartbreaking now that we know why. And lately he& #39;s been far too distracted by his "mission" to acknowledge much else. We can only hope that either Haru corners him, or he learns how to say whats actually on his mind https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💕" title="Zwei Herzen" aria-label="Emoji: Zwei Herzen">
