I use BC and AD instead of BCE and CE when I write because as I tell my students, BCE and CE are Christianizing in disguise and I prefer mine out in the open where I can see it.

This is also a big turn from what I grew up with, in which my parents forced BCE/CE and got mad at my textbooks bc they *didn& #39;t want me as a Jew to have to acknowledge Christ in my daily life,* I personally figure either way that& #39;s a fait accompli and people should sit in that.
