The truth is this: Very few people face a true crisis of career faith until they hit 35 or so and family (elderly or babies) becomes an issue. Almost everyone you know reinvented themselves ages 37-40. That& #39;s a much more interesting story than straight lines.
What& #39;s interesting is that women, especially, tend to find their groove and success -- as writers or runners or anything -- after 40 or even 50 when family is less of a concern for them.
