how men have a flawed concept of women empowerment and feminism: A THREAD
I& #39;ve seen so many men, even the MRA pages post pictures of women who are shown to be working and side by side handling their newborn baby, as much as this shows how women manage so many things at once, this is not something to be romanticised.
women empowerment means that women shouldn& #39;t have to choose between having a career or having a baby. and if you& #39;re posting a picture where a woman is shown to be constantly working, doing house chores + handling babies, you& #39;re more or less fitting them into societal roles
also, a woman does not have to be from a poor family and become an IAS officer to prove her worth. we& #39;re asking you to respect us as a gender, not as an individual unless you personally know us enough to respect us as an individual.
and it doesn& #39;t sit right with me how men think that when we talk about equality, we mean them giving up their seats for us. ykw, don& #39;t. don& #39;t give up seats, have a special & #39;men& #39; compartment in metros for all we care as long as you& #39;re gonna keep your stares and hands to yourself.
also, we see men constantly complaining about how mOdErN fEmInIsm is about "becoming lesbians, not having babies, doing your hair blue" and other stuff. but what they actually mean is "feminism is letting women be themselves" and it& #39;s not sitting right w them
