I am so tired of this narrative that the economy was in the toilet under Obama and Trump revived it. Unemployment was 4.7% when Trump took office. Average GDP growth in Obama& #39;s 2nd term was about equal to average under Trump pre-covid.

Then of course GDP did THIS last quarter. And Kudlow et al have the chutzpah to claim that Biden would lead us into recession/depression?? We& #39;re already there

Even on the stock market -- Trump& #39;s preferred metric for his economic success, even though it reflects neither the economy nor anything presidents have control over -- gains were higher at this point in Obama& #39;s presidency.
