related / also unrelated but here’s a life story:

history doesn’t mean shit. Personally (and ik others may not relate) I have had 3 different experiences where I had 1. a trump supporter as a friend who said he never said anything racist,

2. a transphobic / homophobic friend who didn’t like when gay people were “too gay”, even though I was openly gay. and 3. a performative activist who stayed silent on BLM, went out with her friends (funny enough it’s the ones listed above) during a pandemic that is literally

affecting black and brown communities the hardest. And also contradicted basically everything I thought she stood for.

i was friends with them since middle school. Now they’re no longer my friends. So yeah, history doesn’t mean shit if it implicates with your morals.

but I also don’t want it to be sugarcoated. that’s not how it works, especially in today’s society. I am kinda blunt if things bother me so again i’m sorry if I seem rude.
