Since you& #39;re in the mood to be educated, I am happy to take a 10 minute break and oblige. The idea that there are *no* beneficial gains to be had from specified plant intake (which granted, I don& #39;t think is your argument here) is beyond any rational realm of scientific literacy.
Printed out, outcome data stemming from epidemiological, RCT, and comprehensive trials would make a small mountain of dead trees. I get that the rationale behind "plants are scary" stems from mechanistic exploration of specific phytonutrients (such as the one& #39;s you mentioned)...
