As a straight white dude living in the US, I’m pretty privileged. Growing up in southern Texas has opened my eyes to some of the issues surrounding border control, but I was appalled watching this at how much I was blind to.

Obviously there is no way for me to ever fully grasp the extent of these issues being who I am, but this was a massive step towards reaching for that. I highly suggest anyone seeing this thread to watch the above video. In fact, I think you should be obligated to.
