An update on our Hummingbird Hawk Moth Caterpillars.
Of the 10 we could find at peak, we have five left. Three of them turned brown. One with a distinctive yellow-tipped tail.
At 4.30am I witnessed two of them burrowing into the topsoil of the Bedstraw pot, so there& #39;s no reason

not to think the others have done the same. As many as six, so far.
I& #39;m thinking they may not emerge this summer, so thoughts are turning to how I can help give them a chance of surviving through the winter, and this is where I have no experience whatsoever.
