The smartphone is everything from communication to banking to camera to credit card to medical device to navigation to game platform. It doesn& #39;t play in the same arena as games consoles; it doesn& #39;t even play in same arena as desktop computers — it& #39;s far more important than the PC

All the more essential that the future of innovation atop smartphone computing is not entirely beholden to the whims of a single team (or VP) at a single company, who has shown time and time again that they can modify and abuse their rules for their own benefit
