Anyone who wasn& #39;t sure if they wanted to be a PI when they were a postdoc and now is a PI? What was that decision-making process for you?

I know what research I would propose and the questions I& #39;d want to explore, it& #39;s more so the bureaucracy balanced with other admin demands vs pay and concern that I& #39;ll be spread so thin I& #39;ll very likely let someone down that I should& #39;ve better supported that makes me so hesitant.
