My exact strategies on how I reached 10k followers on Twitter in less than a year.
If you apply these strategies, you will grow too.

1. Picking the right name.
Although it& #39;s not really about your @ and more about the content you bring, having a good name can help you well.
For example my name.
Those are the topics I talk about and whenever someone types one of these in the search bar, they will find me.

2. Branding
What are you going to talk about?
What do you want to be known for?
In what field can you help others with your expertise?
It& #39;s important to know what you want to do and who you want to attract.
Help people gain clarity.

3. Bio optimisation
It& #39;s important to have a good and clean bio.
That is your free piece of digital real estate.
It& #39;s important to tell people what they can expect from you and show them what you can do for them.
Use a call to action and link your website (more traffic)

4. Learn to write
Twitter is not a blog.
Twitter is not a news site.
- Use paragraphs
- Use simple phrases
- Use repetition
- keep the attention
- Evoke emotions

5. Tweet, tweet a lot - but not into an empty void
Content is king but engaging with others is God.
How can you be known without becoming part of the community?
If you want to grow, engaging with others, who are already known, is key.

If I wouldn& #39;t have commented on one of @DeeperThrill @ZubyMusic @hustlenconquer @PathToManliness their tweets, they would have never heard about me, simple as that.
Every comment, can be the spark of forming a new relationship.

6. It& #39;s not just a handle
Never forget you are talking to other human beings.
Don& #39;t just comment because someone has more followers than you, comment because you are interested in the person behind the @
If you ignore everyone who has less followers than you, you& #39;ll miss out.

7. Let your voice be heard.
While you are getting known inside of the community, post your own content.
Post about the topics you have establishment before.
Add value to others, help them, give tips, RT usefull things.

8. Dare to be controversial
Let your voice be heard, your honest opinions about things, your view, your vision, no matter if it may offend anyone.
I have pissed off a lot of people, I grew more than ever.

9. Be authentic
If you are just going to post quotes all day or post platitudes all day, you better take your content to Instagram (No offense, but you know what I mean)
It& #39;s important to think for yourself and stay true to who you are.

10. Support others.
No matter how small, no matter how slow...
Progress is progress and a little support can go a very long way.
A "congratulations" or a "good job" can really uplift someone& #39;s spirit and become the start of a new connection.

11. Reply to your comments
People have taken time out of their day to leave a comment on your tweet, take some time to interact back with them.
Think about it for a second.
How can you make sure people leave more comments?
By showing them they are heard!

12. Know the difference between when to comment and when to comment with RT
Most people just comment with a RT and usually don& #39;t see any engagement, that& #39;s because they don& #39;t really have that Tribe yet.
Leave comments more first, before you just comment with a RT.

13. Get retweets
When you leave a comment, it& #39;s important you try to add value.
That way you can get a RT from the one who tweeted and get massive exposure from them.
I& #39;m not saying you should lick their ass, I am saying you need to add value.

14. Content startegies
I tweet around 12 times a day and I leave comments whenever I have some down time.
I usually use TweetDeck and schedule my tweets either from a day or a week before.
You could also schedule comments and RT comments

15. Lists
Lists are a great way to categorize the content you want to see and content you want to engage with.
You could have a list with big accounts and leave comments on the tweets where you can add value or say something nice or relatable.

16. Engagement groups
Engagement groups work.
This is a group of people (mostly in the same niche) who retweet eachother& #39;s tweets so they gain more traction.
When I started this page, I used some of them, but quickly my mindset around them changed a bit.

The type of groups I like are the ones where people talk to eachother and really have amazing conversations instead of just links to their own tweets.
Twitter is not about the numbers, it& #39;s about the connections you make and the people you help.

17. Consistency
Like anything, consistency matters more than you think.
I haven& #39;t missed a day since I first started back in september of 2019.
I posted and I commented.
I DMde people and started conversations.
It pays to be social on social media, who would have thought?

18. Monetisation
Whenever you have an audience, you can create a product or deliver a service around your skills and help people.
Of course, monetisation goes a lot more in depth but that& #39;s for another time.
