Out of curiosity, I was going through the list of candidates in the #Cumberland byelection and decided to check out @catherinekitts.
I looked up her 2018 @OttawaCitizen candidate survey. According to her, the biggest failure at City Hall was not hiring enough police. 1/5

. @catherinekitts thinks 10% of the City budget, $360 million isnt enough for @OttawaPolice (one of the only services that gets constant budget increases).
What about investing in services like public health and libraries that receive millions less than the police combined. 2/5

Another disappointing response from @catherinekitts: she dsnt think community design plans should have legal weight.
These are plans collectively decided upon by communities. As a result of these not having any weight, developers hve been able to get away w/ almost anything 3/5

It makes sense that @catherinekitts supports that position though as she seems to be supported by (at least online) former councillor, @StephenBlais who received 87% of his donations from the development industry. 4/5
If you live in #Ottawa and you& #39;re a voter in #CumberlandWard and want to support a progressive change candidate who& #39;s going to put ppl at the center of their campaign and not wealthy corporate developers and their allies like @StephenBlais, @catherinekitts isnt your choice.
