Absolutely agree. I& #39;ve interrupted on teams/zoom several times & felt bad abt it, but quite difficult to avoid esp w patchy internet. Also I& #39;m autistic & many of the social cues I& #39;ve learned to understand/respond to are either not there at all or become substantially altered on video link. It& #39;s quite stressful trying to & #39;read& #39; people through the screen.
I imagine these problems also exist in varying forms for students trying to interact w tutors & classmates via video link. The multitude of new social situations one navigates as an undergrad (& power imbalances too) are further complicated by the demands of video communication.
