My whole expierence with @NotionHQ was amazing until I applied to be an ambassador ‘Pro’ for their company.

Then, turned into me revealing, that they had a broken process in how they build community & @markb lighting a fire under them to fix it.
Tbh, in the beginning Mark and I could have had a better strategy.

Mark was passionately, letting the choppas fly on Notion and I was passively watching until Notion decided to kick him out of their community.

That pissed me off....
Because kicking someone out of your community, Who is fighting to make that community inclusive and diverse. Is NOT ok.

Their attempts at conflict resolution were WEAK.

Their apology to me, Weak and it was actually asking me to do MORE work.
To mend the relationship between Mark and Notion, I suggested using mediator. Which turned into a long drawn out process, in which Mark & I were asked to sign NDAs to move foreward.

At first, I signed it, because I wanted this whole back-and-forth process to be over, I was tired
Then, I recanted. It wasnt right. Why would I silence myself?

IF Notion was operating in good faith and wanted to see this resolved, why require a NDA to move forward?

A large problem that we had with them to begin with was their lack of transparency around how they were
taking action to resolve thier issues with DEI. At this point this had been going on for weeks.

So I sent a email last week (7/29), knowing that it would be my last.

No one replied.

Was I surprised? No
Was I dissapointed? Hell no
Just writing this thread for anyone that was curious about @NotionHQ

I really don’t care what they do with their platform, if its diverse or inclusive.

I heard they hired help from a black woman, good for them.
