Welp, time for an emotionally-driven thead. On my last account which I had for 8 years or so, I started following a bunch of BLM and trans accounts because I was feeling passionate and support around my transition and the socioeconomic unrest. 1/?
My content stopped getting promoted. My replies where buried and hidden. Features like polls and retweeting started to be disabled. I even created a temporary dummy account to confirm. Have receipts. 2/?
I reached out to support. No help. No response. Nothing. Why would they? What would be their bottom-line incentive to? It’d be a loss. I’m a business woman, I get that. Time to try something else. 3/?
I decide to check my LinkedIn network to see if I know anyone who works there since I’m in tech. I find one former colleague who works in User Research: perfect! I reach out to her. We were having a mostly pleasant convo. She eventually blocked me. 4/?
I assume this was at the direction of corporate/legal/compliance/risk folks over there. Regardless, they could have just engaged me sincerely to work through my concerns. The following is my conversation with her: 5/?
I created a new account. I started seeing the same issues. I wrote to Support a week ago. No reply. I reached out to other fmr colleagues who work there. No response. Thanks, much “cares Jack shit for your users.”
