Yes, Mr. KFC drive-through dude, I did ask you to pull up your damn mask. It does no one any good hanging on your chin, especially not my 74-year-old mother who suffers from RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), who is on immune-suppressing medications and is sitting next to me in this car.
And before anyone @& #39;s me saying she should be staying home, understand that this is the only time she gets to leave the house; it& #39;s a ride-along, she never gets out of the car.
Aaaannnddd yes, Miss @kfc soda slinger I WAS talking to you too. Masks don& #39;t belong on your chin or under your nose. Both orifices need to be covered to limit your spewing radius. Being belligerent and threatening is not going to change that FACT.
I wear my mask to protect you/others, not make a political statement. And with the mask mandate, I expect any business touting adherence to strict guidelines to actually follow and or enforce said guidelines (looking at you too https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź‘€" title="Augen" aria-label="Emoji: Augen"> @QuikTrip).
live in the hope that once someone realizes they are wearing their mask wrong, they would fix it and do better. I want to believe that most people would be concerned enough about their fellow citizens to wear them correctly.
Intentionally putting people in danger is a dick move. I don& #39;t care what your political beliefs are. Masks are not a partisan issue; the virus doesn& #39;t give a shit either. As I said, I live in hope, but I also live in Kansas, so I& #39;m not very optimistic.
And for the "this & #39;merica" brigade. Here are 10 points for you to consider before you @ me.
For your reference:
1. I don& #39;t care. I& #39;m tired of listening to people bleat about "their rights" while doing everything in their power to violate mine, through selfishness and/or negligence. So, please, save your breath.
2. If you& #39;re not a doctor, I& #39;m not interested in your medical advice.
3. Go ahead and call me a Karen, a boomer, snowflake, a fascist, an Antifa operative, or any of the myriad of names people get called when they want others to do the bare minimum of common decency.
4. I& #39;m just trying to get myself and those I love through this shit storm, alive and in one piece. I would greatly appreciate it if my fellow citizens stepped the fuck up.
5. If our grandparent& #39;s generation can sacrifice their lives on Normandy& #39;s beaches, you can suffer through wearing a mask correctly for the 3-5 minutes it takes to complete my order/transaction.
6. Wearing a mask is an inconvenience, not a violation.
7. This virus is real; it kills people. No amount of alternative facts or pseudo-science will ever convince me otherwise.
8. Sticks and stones; and all that jazz.
9. I know what the block feature is, and I& #39;m not afraid to use it.
