My trading journey started at the age of 17. Coming from a family of professional traders it was easy to get a headstart & i quickly got accustomed to it. But at that time i didn& #39;t have a clue of what I& #39;m getting into. I very well knew how money is made & lost in the markets(1/5)
but was totally unaware of the psychological changes it brings upon to an individual. With the daily ups & downs a young trader gets matured very fast. I started becoming more introvert, reading psychology/self-help books, meditation. Normal conversations of people (2/5)
around became frugal & spending alone time became more pleasurable. A trader sees things with different perspective, often lost in thoughts. I don& #39;t see many people lasting long in this profession because there is this daily burn out which needs to be replinshed quickly. (3/5)
Even if u get to know about the most profitable strategy, to make money out of it & #39;consistently& #39; requires something special. That& #39;s where ur inner growth & psychology (which is very underrated) comes into play. Talks on psychology are good to listen but very hard to apply. (4/5)
My aim in this post is to tell those traders who want to make a livelihood out of it, to start working on your trading psychology as well. Markets, strategies are very dynamic & will keep changing. For an edge you need to have something greater than all of this. (5/5)
