Short #Altcoin thread on the recent PA: This 1 won& #39;t be like the 1 pinned in my profile (though when I& #39;m not feeling lazy I may do an update to that one). This is a good reminder of some principles during alt up trends and what I think you should be focusing on. $ALTS $BTC $ETH
I realize that things are scary right now with #altcoins all pulling back w. varying degrees. You probably woke up to your portfolio down several % from where it was 2 days ago- I did. What& #39;s the environment like right now? Read below.
1) $BTC can always fuck up any #altcoin party. $ETH is doing great right now but if big daddy #Bitcoin

2) This was a logical spot for $BTC dominance to bounce at. I suspected this would happen, just wasn& #39;t sure when. Things are still looking good for BTC.D tho, w. a bearish MS.

3) All hope is not lost: $ETHBTC has hit an official higher high (despite pulling back now). Strong $ETH = strong #altcoin market IMO. If this pumps hard in the summer, I expect $ALTS to continue up overall.
4) Many #altcoins are having bullish market structures for the first time in 2 years. 200D EMAs have caught up to price after this great 2017 unwind. Here& #39;s $XLM and $STRAT, two dead coins that are having great gains lately.
It& #39;s important to understand the bullish MS context- dips are for buying. While BTC volatility could be quite ugly over the next few days, dips should still be for buying. Find some lower targets on your favorite $ALTS and look for those. I& #39;m unsure how far these will dip

5) What am I trying to say here? I& #39;m saying that I think that #altcoins are actually going to have a summer pump for the first time in 2 yrs. There are going to be times where $BTC fucks it up for a few days/week(s) but overall, I think $ALTS are going to still go higher.
It can be very scary to navigate alts during these times but I& #39;m personally going to just set lower targets and DCA down (within reason). Always save $ to buy the dip here. I actually expect alts to pull back a bit more possibly.
6) My idea of $ALTS pumping in the summer will be invalidated if $ETHBTC goes to hell and makes a LL. I find this unlikely but who knows. Additionally, if $BTC does something insane like run to 14k+, again, I expect alts to die off. Will take it 1 level at a time though.
7) Above all else, remember your principles: Keep your stop losses, understand the environment, always take profits, and always DYOR. Good luck and stay safe out there.
