Ok. I know a lot of y& #39;all aren& #39;t very happy with Cedar Point this year but I promised my kids months ago that we& #39;d go if they were open, so masks on, we went. Omg... it was almost surreal.
They really weren& #39;t kidding about enforcing their rules. 1st thing, we tried the merry-go-round. They actually stopped the ride & kicked a family off for not keeping their masks over their noses.
We could remove our masks on Thunder Canyon, but had to have them on in line, so we put them in our pockets. Mine got soaked, which was actually nice given how hot it was.
On the Giant Wheel, they were only using 6 out of 36 cars, 3 adjacent on one side, 3 opposite. But, if you agreed to it, they& #39;d put more than one family in the same car. My daughter took her mask off at the top & got yelled at as we passed the bottom.

Blue tape on the ground everywhere was supposed to tell you where to stand for distancing, but they weren& #39;t staying stuck very well. Rides were randomly shut down, presumably for cleaning.
Many people were wearing their masks below their noses, but there were staff walking around telling them to pull them up. Their policy said children under 2 don& #39;t need masks, but I saw one that was likely 2-ish being asked to be masked before riding the merry-go-round.
There were also "Relax zones" where it was permitted to remove masks- just a bunch of scattered clusters of chairs with fans blowing around them. Seemed pointless.
When we returned to our hotel, we ran into a family from PA who& #39;d planned to stay at the Hotel Breakers tonight. They said that as of today, the hotel cancelled everyone& #39;s reservations, kicked out all the guests & planned to be closed for 2 days of deep cleaning.
For the rest of the season, that hotel now plans to only be open on Friday and Saturday nights. He said their bartender there didn& #39;t even know about it yet.
This insanity just keeps getting more bizzare.
