If your response to concerns about schools reopening (with zero additional funding) is something along the lines of, "Well, kids can& #39;t stay home forever!" or "If you don& #39;t like it, homeschool!", I would suggest you kindly close your mouth and have a seat. (1)

We& #39;re not suggesting school closure. We& #39;re asking—practically begging—the UCP to swallow their pride and offer up more than this current "plan" that is a disaster waiting to happen. Don& #39;t assume our "do something" means "keep schools closed". You& #39;re smarter than that. I hope. (2)

For whatever reason, people seem to think any concerns mean we want schools to stay closed. I& #39;m not seeing a lot of people suggesting that option. We& #39;d like the UCP to fix their "plan" & make schools safer. There are *many* steps between closed schools & an unsafe reopening. (3)

I originally had some other thoughts mostly relating to homeschooling in this thread but deleted them bc I wasn& #39;t happy with the way they sounded. (It came off in a way I wasn& #39;t intending.) The gist of it was that where things stand now, parents face an impossible choice. (4)
