I like this thread because I have several in my group that are engineer/designer brains - they’re looking to maximize efficiency in their characters and make the “right/wrong” choices in build and play, which can contrast a DM like me focusing more on narrative + player choice.
But they trust me to not be lying about the dice and to not be out on a power trip. I’m not going to baby them but I’m not going to bully them either.
I trust them to not be gaming the system or lying about rolls, and they’ve been amazing.
