It is WOMEN who are more supportive of this compared to men (43% vs 33%)

(2/6) It is also WOMEN who are more comfortable with trans people in different situations compared to men.

Over HALF (54%) of Brits think gender identity CAN be separate from biological sex

(4/6) Although opinion is more split on progression of transgender rights in general...

A fifth (19%) think trans rights have gone TOO FAR, while a third (33%) think there’s still distance to be travelled

(5/6) AGE DIVIDE important here - younger people are more accepting and supportive of transgender people – across lots of different metrics....

(6/6) Could in part be driven by differences in familiarity:

•7 in 10 Baby Boomers have never met or encountered someone who uses gender neutral terms
•But 3 in 10 Gen Z has someone in their social circle who uses gender neutral terms
