You wanna know why there are mothers who would turn a blind eye when their husbands cheat on them or beat them up or worse, rape their own kids?
Because they believe they will not survive without their husbands.

That women are properties, good only for sex, giving birth and taking care of house&kids. That & #39;their place& #39; is at home and at the bottom of their husband& #39;s feet. That their worth is only as good as what is in between their legs (and/or how well they wash hubby& #39;s clothes)

These women probably have no where to turn to. They have never been empowered or taught to be financially and emotionally independent.
So how can you expect them to not defend the person who, in their mind, are keeping them alive?

But when people try to teach women these things, you jeer and ridicule them, you recite some obscure hadith and call them & #39;feminists& #39; like it& #39;s a slur.

Then when things like this happen, you act all disgusted and shocked, as if you played no part in it.
