New: The Government Accountability Project posted reports from whistleblowers at Louisiana& #39;s Richwood ICE detention center.

It was part of a pattern of deporting people who& #39;d tested positive or had COVID-19 symptoms.

"LaSalle and Richwood medical ordered a whistleblower to write down a made-up temperature on the medical transfer summary."
Richwood& #39;s Health Services Administrator reportedly told staff that COVID-19 was no worse than the flu and said they had no right to complain if they hadn& #39;t bothered to get flu shots.

Two guards end up dying from complications from COVID-19.
"COVID-19 illnesses have caused an ongoing staff shortage that requires staff to work 12 hours
per day, 7 days per week, with no time off. "

LaSalle& #39;s executive director told Congress today that COVID-19 hasn& #39;t impacted his company& #39;s ability to staff detention centers.
Being detained at Richwood as people became infected was a horrifying experience.

Salomon Diego Alonzo was forced to appear for a court hearing when he had COVID.

When he didn& #39;t speak, a guard had to tell a judge that Alonzo “does not have the lung capacity." He was hospitalized after the ~2 hour hearing. https://apnews.com/1b4254ac7245200fa61dce79aa38de15">https://apnews.com/1b4254ac7...
