1/ Now this should worry us all. @Mermaids_Gender joining the pile on against @jk_rowling. Her crime? tweeting a harrowing account of traumatised & vulnerable women whose emotional trauma & turmoil about being lesbian led them into trans surgery they now deeply regret.
2/One would expect @Mermaids_Gender to welcome the evidence that the skyrocketing rise in girls seeking to be boys is likely the result of underlying mental ill health, abuse, same-sex attraction & a fear of being female in a woman-hating world.
3/But no, @Mermaids_Gender sees it as an attack on trans young people. The canary in the coal mine is singing its head off but @Mermaids_Gender seems to think political posturing is more important than avoiding being overcome by the toxic fumes & the coming explosion.
4/ @trussliz this is now clearly a national emergency. We cannot as a society allow our most vulnerable girls & women to be at the mercy of an ideological position that turns its face to all criticism. Please act now as a matter of urgency.
5/This is not a scandal that is waiting to happen. We are all the way there. The scandal is being played out. Those in receipt of government funds, charitable exemption & the goodwill of the British public have shown themselves to be wholly unfit. You must act now. I beg you.
