I got through to the ICA call centre this morning. They& #39;ve told me that the ICA Permit service is only for people who are stuck OUTSIDE of the UAE. Their advice? Travel then apply when I& #39;m outside of the country.

I said & #39;that sounds rather risky, what if it gets rejected when I& #39;m outside?& #39;

& #39;No idea, we can& #39;t guarantee it will be approved& #39;

So I suppose my advice here is for those of us looking to travel to home countries (to be clear, I& #39;m not travelling for leisure, I want to see family) this month then just forget it until the permit system changes else you& #39;ll just become another voice on #bringbackuaeresidents
