The last few days have seen a large amount of spin by some to create a fanciful & fictional narrative around decisions taken at the last NEC mtg.

I did ask that arrangements be put in place to enable CLPs to conduct normal business online. The & #39;motion& #39; calling this took no account of work the Gen Sec is putting in place to roll out online balloting software to facilitate this. Training on this is already being rolled out.

The rule book allows the NEC to determine the guidelines for elections to the NEC - Chapter 4, Clause III, A, i, c. The move to STV may not benefit us in the forthcoming elections but its the right thing for the Party to have a plurality of views rep on our governing body.

The terms of reference for the independent inquiry put the main allegations within the report as the top item to be investigated and that investigation is underway

. @Keir_Starmer has reiterated his hope that @UKLabour can be part of helping make this a defining moment of real change and action against racism both in the Party and across society

In short - I will not take lectures on unity from people who have voted against every measure @Keir_Starmer has brought to the NEC since he was elected.

And I will not be silenced by this sort of hate that is stirred up against me
