I& #39;ve just been verbally abused & threatened at @WOOLWORTHS_SA in Sea Point. Had to endure a big guy (white male, 1.8m, 90-100kg) repeatedly swear at me (told me to fuck off & called me a poes) & say that he& #39;ll be waiting for me outside - all because I asked him to put on his mask

He was next to me at the checkout & took off his mask, talking on the phone, facing the cashier. I politely asked him to put his mask back on & he started screaming expletives & threats at me. Everyone saw & heard him. No one did anything.

I called for security and the manager, and he taunted me saying "call them...I& #39;m going to be waiting for you outside". When they arrived he had already left. They escorted me out but he wasn& #39;t there. Such a horrible experience - I& #39;m quite shaken.

I& #39;m going to contact the store & speak with the manager. I& #39;m sure cashiers & store staff have to deal with this kind of shit everyday. They need to feel empowered to insist that customers wear masks. And security or the police need to be called if people don& #39;t comply.
