All I have learnt from this episode is that Darren Grimes (who was obviously very young in 2011 during the Starkey "whites have become black" interview) doesn& #39;t seem to have much ability at all to recognise overt racism.

This example of Darren Grimes being oblivious to the content of his interview with David Starkey seems to me in the type of category of Mr Corbyn not being able to spot a mural dripping in anti-semitism.

This may reveal who puts hyper-partisanship > consistency & who doesn& #39;t

But it is an intriguing question as to *how many* other people just didn& #39;t notice that what @darrengrimes_ called his "bloody fantastic" interview included Prof Starkey saying "there wouldn& #39;t be so many damn blacks" ?

I got to debate history with Starkey once - in the National Potrait Gallery for PD James guest edition of Today in 2010

Found it a tricky discussion: he didn& #39;t listen to or engage with anything I said - so he could argue against a Hyper-PC caricature
