I just can& #39;t decide on which accent I want to use when I speak with an Indonesian stranger on the Internet. When I try to be formal, I sound too formal, when I try to be informal, I sound too regional.

So I just either use the accent I& #39;d use in a class presentation or the Jakartan accent. Most people understand both of them, so I think there won& #39;t be much problem.

Y& #39;know the cool thing about English is that you can read this thread in any accent you want. You don& #39;t believe me? Try it. Read the first tweet in the general British accent. Switch into general American in the second Tweet.
