Sure, it& #39;s not his best role. But don& #39;t let that take away from the fact that playing Kante at the base of midfield is a massive reason why we& #39;ve been extremely secure in midfield except for occasional patches.

There are a bunch of people going around using stats to show why Kante is "bad" there. Let me tell you as a guy who likes to think he knows a little about stats, you cannot measure defensive ability in stats. You need context just as much as numbers.
Over the long-term, Gilmour could well become the owner of that "6" spot but right now, there is no denying the fact Kante has made us a more secure team.
