Today, the Prime Minister is tipped to announce a reduction in the 2 metre rule and the re-opening of pubs, bars and restaurants after months of #Covid19 lockdown. Owners of these businesses are understandably desperate to get going again.

But that desperation needs to be tempered by a reality check: there& #39;s a real risk that a customer contracts #Coronavirus after visiting and blames it on the establishment (whether true or not), and it could have a damaging impact on reputation (regardless of litigation).

Hospitality businesses should be carrying out communications and reputational risk assessments as part of their re-opening plans. Better to be prepared for a crisis and plan a response in advance
