here’s an IGTV vid i recently used @MixCaptions on. things i really like: you can adjust where the captions are which is great bc the IG preview usually cuts off my captions, can change the font/size & transparency of the caption background

with Clips you can also upload a still image or a video & record a voice over with live captions
last recommendation for live captions @clipomatic. it has a number of limitations but overall it’s not bad. pros: live captions are pretty good, it has full screen or square cons: it’s $4.99, caption styles are limited & kinda clunky & not super easy to edit, no android
sorry, one more! when uploading produced video to Facebook/YouTube i order captions from @rev & upload as an SRT file. pros: fast! usually 2 hr turn around, affordable $2 a min, super accurate bc they have real folks captioning vs computer cons: can’t upload SRT to insta/twitter
Updating this thread to include @KapwingApp! It’s a web based platform that lets you edit & caption your vids! It has an auto captions but truthfully not super accurate BUT its great if you can upload your own caption SRT file. It’s really easy to edit & customize your captions
The @KapwingApp has a free option w limits on how many videos you can edit/publish a month OR a monthly/yearly subscription that gives you unlimited access. I used the app to caption this week’s episode of #MTVDecoded & I’m super happy w the quality!
