Why do you choose to focus your critique on the most ridiculous example of a view that you disagree with, instead of the one you can respect the most?
Imo the worst thing about that himbo take is that it assumes people are fetishizing intellectual domination over their partner, rather than seeking an equal in a world where they feel overwhelmed. I dont like himbo memes in practice but the intention isnt uniformly supremacist
I just think you and the himbo deserve better than ableist society that assigns a fraudulent intelligence quotient to you and assumes you are defined by it. And we can also admit here that many himbo memes *are* borderline ableist for reasons other than the logic of the fantasy
I just think that by defining the object of the fantasy as lacking a certain quality of the mind, you let ableism in the back door. It& #39;s good to question the underlying assumptions there, though accusing everyone of ableism is further than I& #39;d go
Contrast the himbo to the drone. We don& #39;t consider one person in a drone fantasy to be a & #39;dumbass& #39;; we can sexualize his choice to act as a blank slate, without assigning an intrinsic quality to him
