Here is a small thread for you on my timeline that identify as male. Please start asking yourself every fucking day from now on "What does it mean to be a man?". Here are some general guidelines to understand the difference.
A man takes responsibility, a boy makes excuses.
A man is passively confident, a boy is actively cocky.
A man shows respect, a boy uses any opportunity to boast and brag.
A man empowers people around him, a boy tries to control people around him.
A man protects you when you are down, a boy kicks you while you are down.
A man sees empathy and emotions as strengths, a boy sees them as weaknesses.
A man elevates others, a boy uses others to elevate himself.
A man proactively tells you exactly how they feel, a boy plays games with you.
And last but not least. Understand that you pose a physical threat to women. They are CONSTANTLY aware of this. So go out of your way to let them know from the get go what your true intentions are and that you are there to protect them. From yourself and from others.
And however they feel about you, show respect regardless. It& #39;s not up to you to force any type of change in others.
