The discrimination against black people in this country does not begin and end with police brutality. It is systemic, and deeply embedded in our society. It isn& #39;t enough that they face it in their jobs, housing, schooling, and social interactions, they are at risk...
...to be murdered for the crime of existing. The astounding lack of empathy is disgusting. Mouths closed, ears open. Listen to the people who suffer, protect them. Why is it controversial? Why is it hard for so many to understand? Your privilege is weaponized against you.
You put your comfort ahead of the impetus to change. You ignore the information you read, the pictures/videos you see, and the screaming voices of those suffering to maintain your status quo. Reckon with that now, or later, but you won& #39;t be able to avid it forever.
