Cities, counties, and states can’t print money. Every single dollar they spend on police is a dollar they can’t spend on education, parks, social services. And even in this pandemic time, when budgets are being cut left and right, spending on police continues to rise.

Here’s a fairly easy thing you can do today: Look up your city or town’s budget and determine what percent of it is spent on police. Start asking yourself - and your elected officials - how else we could spend that money. Defund the cops.

When you figure it out, post on this thread. And post any articles you find about what your town/city wants to sacrifice to fund more cops.
