Someone graffitied over "veterans" on the sign at the VA headquarters, and wrote "Colony" beneath it.
Graffiti on side of the VA headquarters:
"capitalism = racism"
"We right for peace, you hide in fear."
"capitalism = racism"
"We right for peace, you hide in fear."
Some of the graffiti on the walls of St. John& #39;s Church.
The Oval Room"s windows are smashed and the front is graffitied:
"The Rich aren& #39;t safe anymore."
"The Rich aren& #39;t safe anymore."
One thing I don& #39;t think it fully realized til this morning: the ease with which electric scooters turn into projectiles that can break windows.
McReynold& #39;s Liquors looted, door smashed out.
A final note as I continue my walk away from downtown: some of the graffiti reads like a teenager trying to be edgy.
Spoke too soon: there& #39;s graffiti on the DAR Memorial Continental Hall.
Daily 14 Liquors, a mom-and-pop near Thomas Circle, had its doors smashed. Glass bottles in the street outside suggest looting.
