ewww some (white) people will share a video/article/anything & when you engage in a dialogue with them that urges them to reconsider or think deeper about certain parts, they& #39;re just like "oh I wasn& #39;t trying to say that, just sharing different viewpoints"
1) just admit you were wrong. this could be really uncomfortable, but get over yourself. don& #39;t put your pride above showing others you care about learning
2) you& #39;re distancing yourself from the issue with this statement. don& #39;t do that. it& #39;s a poor use of your privilege. you& #39;re also undermining your own intelligence & ability to think critically. I know you can do it.
3) when you share something without adding your thoughts & revisions to the original content, it actually is like you& #39;re saying that... so be intentional & not so lazy that you can& #39;t clarify why you do fw and what you don& #39;t
